My Review for 'Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side' by Beth Fantaskey

Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side is a story about an ordinary girl named Jessica, who's life is turned upside down by an unbelievably handsome young man, named Lucius, who she finds -at first- quite creepy. But when she is told that she's a long lost Romanian Princess, Antanasia Dragomir (her original birth name) -who was adopted by her American parents for her own protection- and that Lucius is her Royal arranged-marriage fiancĂ©. Things couldn't get any worse, right?... Until she is told that Lucius has a secret... he's a vampire. And, unfortunately, she is destined to be one as well.

As if the last year of high school wouldn't be hard enough, now Jessica/Antanasia has to keep secrets in order to protect her and her family, make life-altering decisions to protect her Romanian family name and deal with an obsessively annoying arrogant Romanian Prince. While also doing her best to deal with the challenges high school and peers throw at her.

Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side is a wonderfully intriguing debut novel by Beth Fantaskey. It left me wanting sooo much more. It is definitely one of the best books I have read this year!

A recommended read in 2010!
